Notes and dictation
Write notes or dictate them with your voice, and turn any note into a source for answers.
Notes are the workspace's shared notebook — a place for points that are not in any file yet. Everyone with access to the workspace sees every note.
Workspace page → the Notes column on a big screen, or the Notes button on a phone.
Write a note
Press New note, write, and save.
- A title is optional; the note's text is not.
- Use the menu next to a note to edit or delete it. A deleted note is gone for everyone.
- Daneshyar does not use a note in answers until you turn it into a source (see below).
Example: after the weekly meeting, you write the decisions in a note so the rest of the team can see them.
Dictate with your voice
Instead of typing, talk and let Daneshyar write it down.
Press Dictate
Press Start recording. If the browser asks to use your microphone, allow it.
Speak
Your words appear as you speak. You can press Pause and Resume along the way, and Stop at the end.
Save
Read the text once and press Save as note. If you do not want it, press Discard.
Example: a doctor on the way back from a conference dictates the key points — no typing, in a few minutes.
Dictation does not work in every browser and needs Can edit access. If something is missing, the dictation window tells you what. Dictation uses a few credits.
Turn a note into a source
Daneshyar does not read notes when it answers. If you want answers to use a note, turn it into a source.
- In the note's menu, choose to turn it into a source, then press Convert to source.
- A new file is added to the file list and is read like any other file. The note itself stays where it is.
- Converting the same note twice makes two separate files. So if you edit a note and convert it again, delete the old file.
